A few weekends ago we went to the Popcorn Festival here in Beavercreek. It was a small festival, but there was a lot for the kids to do and all of the kids activities were either free or very, very cheap which was nice! We also got the opportunity to see our friends' daughter preform some of her dance routines. It was a nice way to spend the day!
They had a piece of the world trade center on display at the festival. Apparently they are building a new park here in Beavercreek and are going to display this piece as a memorial at the park. It was pretty neat to see some of the wreckage up close and personal and brought back some very strong emotions from that horrible day 9 years ago.
