Cruise Vacation--Part 1

I headed out to my vacation in a very depressed state. Sure I was excited for a 4 day 3 night cruise to the Bahamas (who wouldn't be?), but I just left my little girl behind....and that was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and not to mention VERY sad. I cried for a while in the car and then I hunkered down and made the 6 hour car trip to meet up with Andrew in Orlando. We had a great night. We went to PF Chang's for dinner and it was even more delicious than I remember! Afterward, we hit up a bar called the Blue Martini and had cocktail. It was a great night, and Andrew and I were very excited to get on the boat the next morning!

The next day we headed out to Port Canaveral to board the Sovereign of the Seas. We called to see how Abby and Gramma Susan fared the night before and they were just fine! It was nice to have a night to make sure everything was alright because once you are on the cruise ship it is very expensive to keep in contact with home. We made a pit stop at Patrick Air Force Base since we were so close, just to check it out. Andrew had been there before but I had never seen it and its always good to see other bases just in case you ever get stationed there. We got on the ship about 3PM and that's when our vacation really started!

The first night we went to dinner and met the other 2 couples that would be dining with us the rest of the cruise. We really hit it off with one of the couples and had a great time chatting and getting to know them! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Andrew takes full advantage of the fact that you can order what ever you want and would sometimes order more than one appetizer, dessert or even entree. I guess that is the way to do it! Some of the other people at our table followed his lead! After dinner we headed out to explore the ship and ended up at the casino. It was a lot of fun and Andrew and I actually both doubled our money!!
