Ouch!

Olivia has this habit of kneading at your skin. I try to keep her nails short because between the kneading and the razor sharp nails, it can really hurt. Here is some proof. She was clawing at my Dad's face and this is what happened! Ouch!!!!

Christmas in June

My Dad just couldn't help himself and we celebrated a little Christmas in June. He secretly went out shopping and bought us all a little something, he even wrapped the presents in Christmas wrapping paper. Abby was so excited, it was a really cute idea!! My Dad really likes to play the role of Santa!!!

Water Fun in Colorado

While there is no ocean in Colorado, we have found ways to enjoy the water. I haven't taken the girls swimming as much as I would like for two reasons. One, the weather hasn't cooperated. And two, Abby and Olivia are at such different stages of "water play" that its very hard to take both of them by myself. I definitely need help with that project. Abby is in swim lessons and they have been worth every penny! The first session she was terrified to put her face in the water and now she is swimming under water! Its absolutely crazy!!! I have video of her swimming but its on our big video camera and I need help getting that onto the computer. I will take a video on my camera to upload onto the blog.

Concert in the Park

One of the many family friendly events/happenings here in Highlands Ranch is the weekly summer concert series on the green. Every Thursday evening in the summer there is a different musical group that puts on a free concert. Everyone brings blankets and chairs and a picnic dinner and enjoys the music. The kids run around and dance down by the stage. Its a great time and did I mention, its free?!?!

Cruisin' with Papi

Abby wanted to have a ride in Papi's convertible so of course by Dad took her for a spin around the neighborhood. She had a blast, they drove up and down the block for about 20 minutes and Abby waved to us like the Queen every time they drove by!
